Recipient: City of N. Charleston School Resource officers

Quantity of Bikes donated: 20

Pedals 4 Peanuts partnered with the City of N. Charleston to gift 20 bicycles to the City’s School Resource Officers that serve in the City’s elementary schools. These officers interact with children and their families on a daily basis and have an intimate understanding of the struggles these families face. In an effort to fulfill holiday wishes the SRO officers identified several deserving children and delivered bicycles to the families prior to Christmas.

“These acts of kindness matter. They change lives and give hope!!!! Please continue your wonderful efforts though out next week. We appreciate everything you have done to help build positive relationships with our children, families and our community. Thank you!”

“One parent was moved to tears because she was not able to provide for her family this year. A home visit to deliver the gifts bought a very humble and kind mother to tears. With the support of Pedals 4 Peanuts’ gracious gift of bikes and helmets to our SRO team, families in North Charleston are experiencing the true meaning of the holidays.”

Date: November 2015

Event: Oblique Health and Fitness Expo.

P4P in collaboration with Oblique Magazine and the City of North Charleston gifted over two hundred bikes at the Oblique Health and Fitness Expo in November 2015.

Story:

This message was sent to us from a volunteer that coordinated the delivery of a bike to a 10 year old boy. The bike was gifted during the Oblique expo.

– Shawn is a 10 year old boy and a member of my church. Shawn received a bike from P4P at the event in November. Following the event a mother with seven children joined our church. One of these seven children was a boy that is near the same age as Shawn. After interacting with the family Shawn selflessly decided to gift his new bike to his new friend. I was touched by this selfless act. Thank you for all that you do.
